Join the WELCOME
Northeast Ohioans are eager to welcome all the participants and their visitors to the 2014 Gay Games presented by the Cleveland Foundation.
Now, everybody can extend the WELCOME through a campaign kicked off in early October with a rally at downtown Cleveland's Tower City. Coordinated by the Gay Games and its lead community partners, the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland, and Plexus, the local LGBT and allied chamber of commerce, the WELCOME campaign is bringing together the community at large to extend a personal welcome to the 10,000 participants expected for the 2014 Gay Games presented by the Cleveland Foundation.
Here's how you can get involved:
- Personally sign a card for an individual participant.
- Organize a card-signing party or event through your organization or business.
- Volunteer to help address the envelopes for the WELCOME cards to be mailed.
- Autograph a WELCOME banner at an event where Gay Games is (or host a banner at your event).
- Take a photo of you with a WELCOME sign or message and share on Gay Games' Facebook page (www.facebook.com/GG9Cleveland) and/or submit to info@GG9CLE.com so it can be posted on the official website too.
- Record a video WELCOME message to be shared on Facebook and/or the Gay Games website.
- Serve as a repository for WELCOME cards to be picked up and/or dropped off.
- Hang a WELCOME sign at your home, storefront or office.
- Donate stamps or dollars to help cover the mailing costs.
