Skill Level

Competitive A Players with regional, national, and/or international competition/tournament experience
Competitive B Advanced players with regular competition/tournament experience
Competitive C Players with some competition/tournament experience
Hobby Division One class for all beginners and recreational players with little to no competition tournament experience
Master’s Division 40+ One class for players who will be 40 years of age or older
Team In the team division competition, all levels play together in one tournament. A team is made up of 4-6 players, with any combination of gender, age, and skill; however, only one player from Division A may play on a team. In team division competition, max of 5 games will be played: four singles games and one doubles. The fifth and sixth players, if registered, who do not play in a singles game, must play in the doubles.

Participation

Each player may participate once in each category within their chosen division/class. For example, a female participant may compete on a singles team, a women’s doubles team, and a mixed doubles team, as well as participate as a member of the team competition.

Within the competitive divisions, players may classify themselves according to ability and strength.

Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers (or teams) in each division.

Rules

The Table Tennis matches will be played according to the rules of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). The official rules of the International Table Tennis Federation can be found at www.ittf.com.

A game will be won by the first player or pair first scoring 11 points unless both players or pairs score 10 points, in which case the game must be won by the first player or pair to gain a lead of 2 points.

In Preliminary Rounds, best of five (5) sets per match will be played. In the Finals, matches will consist of best of seven (7) sets.
