Welcome to Registration for Gay Games 9 Cleveland + Akron
Now’s the time to register for Gay Games 9, the sport and cultural events hosted in Cleveland + Akron, Ohio, the week of 9-16 August 2014. Participants in the 35+ sport and culture events must register in advance. Early-bird discounts are offered through the end of 2012. Gay Games 9 will close registration four weeks prior on 9 August 2014. For information regarding volunteer registration click here.
How does registration work?
Registration for Gay Games 9 consists of two parts: General Registration and Event Registration.
- General Registration* ($165.00 USD until 31 August 2013; $195.00 USD beginning 1 September 2013)
General Registration is required of all participants. Each general registrant receives access to Opening and Closing Ceremonies, transportation to events throughout the week of the Games and other related benefits.
You must complete General Registration before completing Event Registration. You can submit your General Registration even if your Event Registration is not yet open for the activities in which you plan to participate.

Team Registration
Participants can register for a team-based sport and identify the team at that time or add the team name later. Sport teams interested in registering should designate a team organizer who should register and create a team code. Learn more about Team Registration.
- Event Registration*
After you submit a General Registration, you can register for your specific event(s). Event registration fees vary upon the event. The fees cover venue and equipment rental, official staffing and event staffing. Currently the events for which you can register are as follows (others will be added in the next few months:

Note: You must complete and pay for both General Registration and Event Registration to participate in Gay Games 9. However, you do not need to register for both at the same time.
You may register for more than one event and pay the fee for each separate event. Gay Games 9 is not responsible for coordinating competition times to prevent participant conflicts.
