Each individual event will have age groups within the men’s and women’s divisions. A participant’s age group is determined by that person’s age as of the first day of competition, 9 August 2014. The age groups for individual participants are as follows:
18-29 |

Participation
2014 Gay Games will offer the following distances for competition:
- Long Course: 1,500 meters swim - 24 mile bike - 6.2 mile run
- Short Course: 750 meters swim - 16 mile bike - 3.1 mile run

A participant may register for only one event.
Medals will be awarded to the three best times in each gender division’s age group.
*Special Note: Participants registering for the Triathlon are eligible to compete in the Cycling Time Trial with an additional fee of $60. Select this option when you register. Select this option when you register. Please refer to the Cycling page for further detail on the time trial.
Schedule
Individual distances will be raced on the same day. Specific start times will be posted within 3 months of the date of the race.
Rules
The Triathlon will be governed in accordance with the International Triathlon Union (ITU) and in consideration of USA Triathlon.
