Participation

Men and Women may compete in the Open (Men’s/Mixed) Divisions. The Women’s Divisions are for women only; no men may compete in these divisions.

Teams may have a roster of up to 20 players, plus three (3) registered paying coaches and staff.

2014 Gay Games reserves the right to move a team to another division based on skill level.

Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each gender’s division.

Rules

2014 Gay Games Flag Football Tournament will follow the rules of the National Gay Flag Football League for the Open (Men's/Mixed) Divisions and Women's Recreational Division, with some modifications. The Women's Competitive Division will follow the rules of the United States Flag & Touch Football League (USFTL) with some modifications.

Open (Men's/Mixed) teams are allowed a maximum of seven (7) players on the field during play.

Women's competitive division teams have eight (8) players on the field during play and will use the USFTL rules with some modifications. Women's recreational division teams have seven (7) players on the field during play and will use the rules of the National Gay Flag Football League with some modifications.

Participants may only register for and play on one team.
