GET WITH THE ACTION! Community Printmaking Day - Noon - 4 p.m.
MOCA Cleveland
FREE and open to all!
Artist Corita Kent used printmaking and text to create positive social messages promoting tolerance, diversity, and love. This event invites families and community members to experiment with various printing processes to create uplifting messages and beautiful imagery. Among the activities is an opportunity for guests to produce a vibrant poster that will be displayed at the 2014 Gay Games in August to encourage positivity and inclusivity among the athletes and audiences. The event is open to all ages, with activities designed for diverse abilities and artistic skill.

LGBTQ Cultural Competence Training Program - 10 a.m. - Noon
The Beachland Ballroom, Cleveland
The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio is committed to creating sustainable change for LGBTQ inclusivity. Beyond the estimated $40 million econimic impact of GG9, the events will have a social impact for the region. The goal is to create a legacy of impactful change that is more sensitive and welcoming to the LGBTQ community. The SafeZone Program is a visible network of allies who are committed to creating a community of respect and dignity for LGBTQ consumers, clients, students, staff, faculty and others. This workshop, geared towards those in the helping profession, provides 2.5 CEU's through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
